THE CURSED/Ex-HADES Guitarist DAN LORENZO Releases New Solo Track

January 10, 2008

Guitarist Dan Lorenzo (THE CURSED, ex-HADES) has issued the following update:

"I finally added a new song to my MySpace page. It's called 'What I Like'. I recorded it a year ago. The amazing thing about it is, it features Scottie LePage from Dallas, Texas. Scottie played ALL the guitars on it, at the time he was just thirteen. Thirteen! Damn. Scottie is the son of former HADES guitarist Scott LePage. That's me trying to sing, and Eazy Ezekial from AMISH OUTLAWS on bass.

"I stopped playing hoops for the winter, and I've actually been playing more guitar than usual. I'm not as good as Scottie... but I think I wrote a few new fat-ass riffs. We'll see."

An e-card for the debut album from THE CURSED — the new band featuring vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (OVERKILL) and Dan Lorenzo — is available at this location. Entitled "Room Full of Sinners", the CD was released on June 26, 2007 via Screaming Ferret Wreckords. The album was completed at Crystal Studios in New Jersey, before and after OVERKILL's successful stint on the Gigantour, which also featured MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD. Mike Koenig from Crystal Studios engineered.

THE CURSED made its live debut on May 20 at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. Check out a review of the show and photos at Piercing Metal.
